Fauquier Habitat for Humanity’s Mission Statement: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We are working in our community to make that vision a reality.

Give Local - FHFH May 5

The Give Local Piedmont Campaign is next Tuesday, May 5th.

Fauquier Habitat for Humanity is participating again in this 24 Hour Giving Campaign. Last year we raised $5500 through our supporter’s generosity; this year we are hoping to raise $7500. Please consider supporting our campaign. Funds generated will stay in our community. Funds raised will allow us to continue serving families in our community by providing qualified, low-income families the opportunity to purchase safe, affordable housing.

Are you interested in volunteering with Fauquier Habitat for Humanity? Whether you want to build or not, you can still make an impact on families in our community.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Fauquier Habitat. Without their time, talents, and dedication, we could not fight so hard to put an end to poverty housing in our community. We are currently building in the Warrenton area. Volunteers with or without building experience are welcomed to join us. They say it takes a village to raise a child, well it takes a village to build a home. We are in need of volunteers to help with construction, help with administrative work, volunteer on committees that support our program, and volunteers to help with technical support. If you have experience or knowledge that you believe can help in our community, please click here to complete our Volunteer Form. Once submitted, you will be contacted about opportunities with our organization.
All volunteers are welcome! Fauquier Habitat for Humanity has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide poeple. In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion. As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and Fauquier Habitat for Humanity do not proselytize. This means that we do not provide assistance to or accept volunteers on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
If you cannot volunteer on our construction site, but have some time on your hands, our ReStore is in need of volunteers to work in the store. The store is open Tuesday through Friday from 10-6 pm and Saturdays from 9 – 2pm. We depend on volunteers to help customers on the sales floor, assist with donation preparation, donation receipt, and with checkout in the front. Proceeds from the ReStore go to our building program – so working in the ReStore is building more houses!! Click Here to complete a ReStore Volunteer Form. Once submitted, a volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you about volunteer needs at the ReStore.

What we do. Fauquier Habitat for Humanity serves Fauquier and Rappahannock counties in the beautiful Piedmont of Northern Virginia. Fauquier Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We work in partnership with community churches, businesses, volunteers and families to eliminate the blight of poverty housing: leaky roofs, lack of indoor plumbing, kitchen or bath facilities, no source of heat, and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions.

Since 1991, we have built 44 homes, rehabilitated several others and have embarked on our most ambitious project yet – construction of a seven-duplex subdivision in Sterling Court, off Academy Hill Road within the Warrenton town limits.

If you are unable to volunteer, you can still support Habitat’s mission of providing decent, affordable houses to those who are unable to afford one on their own by donating to Fauquier Habitat for Humanity.
