Leadership
Fauquier Habitat for Humanity is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes an executive committee. Each board member serves a three-year term, and can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. Day-to-day management is done by the executive director, which is the organization’s only full-time staff member.

James Hricko, President Jim Hricko is a professional architect and owner of the Warrenton, Virginia-based architectural firm James Hricko Architect, LLC. After earning his license as an architect, he worked for firms in Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia as well as the Department of the Navy as an architect/planner before starting his own firm. He received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Notre Dame followed by a Master’s Program at Catholic University of America in City and Regional Planning. Jim has served his community as Chairperson of both the Planning Commission and Architectural Review Board for the historic town of Clifton, Virginia where he wrote and illustrated the town’s architectural and planning guidelines during his tenure and provided pro bono architectural services on dozens of community projects. He is a member of the National American Institute of Architects, AIA Virginia Society and the AIA Northern Virginia. |
| John Suter, Vice President, Chair Site Selection Committee After spending 20 years in the United States Air Force, John worked in the aerospace and defense industry for 21 years in the business development area. After retiring from Northup Grumman in 2008, he began a third career in volunteer work. He currently is on the Board of Directors of Fauquier Habitat for Humanity and works Wednesday and Saturday on building the homes on Sterling Court. He is the president of Marshall Business and Resident’s Association. He also enjoys being retired! |

Dana Pappas, Treasurer, Chair Finance/Adminstration Committee A native Bostonian, Dana, wife Marisa and their two sons have lived in Warrenton since 1997. Dana is the Chief Operating Officer of Plow & Hearth, LLC, a national retail/catalog company based on Madison, VA. Prior to joining Plow & Hearth, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Faith Mountain which was formerly located in Sperryville. No stranger to Non-Profits, while in Massachusetts, Dana served on the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry and is now the Treasurer for NEMOA, a catalog industry association. He has a BS in Accountancy from Bentley University and received his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Babson College. |

Kim Cybulski, Secretary, Co-chair, Women Build Kim grew up in the area and has lived in Hume for 15 years with husband Dave. She has worked as a mortgage loan originator for 14 years and is currently employed at Virginia Heritage Mortgage, based in Chantilly. Kim has volunteered with Fauquier Habitat for three years and is currently co-chair for Women Build. Her hobbies include hiking, running, travel, and visiting area wineries. She also enjoys learning new skills on the Habitat job site. |

| Craig Andrews, Chair, Family Selection Committee Craig has volunteered with Fauquier Habitat for Humanity for most of the organizations existance. He is an active member of the Building Committee and serves as the Chair of the Family Selection Committee. Craig previously served on the board from 2005-2010. We are excited to have Craig back on the board to share his expertise and knowledge of the organization. |
| William Beals, Chair, Building Committee Bill Beals spent more than three decades in the land development, building and construction industry and has brought that expertise to Fauquier Habitat For Humanity, where he serves as chair of the building committee. Bill owns WGBeals Consulting, which provides assistance to Christian churches and schools in the planning, construction and renovation of buildings. He also works with Dominion Construction Group, promoting the Building God’s Way program and providing pre-construction services to clients. Bill spent nearly 20 years running his own construction company, William G. Beals, Inc., constructing all types of commercial, industrial, residential, church and school projects. Bill is a graduate of Virginia Tech and an active member of the Warrenton Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon, past trustee, Sunday school teacher and active member. He also is a member of the local Gideon Chapter, an outreach ministry group composed of professional men. |
| Kim Forsten Kim has owned and operated Old Town Athletic Club since 1996. She also owns and operates Parisi Speed School and the Warrenton Pilates. Kim previously served on the Fauquier Hospital Board from 2003 through 2008. She and her husband, Mike, are also actively involved with the Fauquier Boys and Girls Club. Kim believes strongly in the philosophy of Habitat, and looks forward to serving our community through her work on the board. |

Christine Headly, Christine is the Vice President and Controller at the Fauquier Bank. Prior to joining the Bank, she was an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington D.C. She received a BA in Economics from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Finance from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Christine has been a resident of Fauquier County for over twenty years. She is currently a serving Elder on the Session of the Warrenton Presbyterian Church. Christine has an interest in building and design and believes strongly in helping others to achieve their dream of homeownership. She and her family have been long-time supporters of the Fauquier Habitat for Humanity affiliate. |

Rosanne Gorkowski Chair, Partnership Committee Rosanne Gorkowski has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Strayer University and is retired from a 35 year career in Human Resources. She has worked in the Human Resources for various government contractors in the Washington, DC area and retired from the Fauquier Bank in 2004. In addition to to Habitat for Humanity, Ms. Gorkowski is on the Board of Directors for People Helping People and the Warrenton Chorale. She also is a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) in Prince William County and volunteers with Hospice for the Rapidan. |
| Cris Mitchell, Chair Church Relations Committee Chris is a Sales Associate of Richmond American Homes. Born and raised in Fauquier County, Cris has a true appreciation of our community and the people in it. Cris has an extensive background in public relations and marketing, and is currently MIRM designated and a member of GCAAR, NVBIA, and NHAB. She has a thorough knowledge of the residential building trade. Her entire career has been focused on helping others achieve the American Dream. She is excited to join the Board and believes her knowledge of Real Estate and the Fauquier community will prove to be a true asset to those our organization serves. |

Robert Towle, Chair, ReStore Steering Committee After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1960, Bob spent 20 years in the Navy as an Engineering Duty Officer serving on destroyers, shipyards, and maintenance staffs in the U.S. and in Japan and the Philippines. Upon retirement from the Navy in 1980, he worked another 21 years at several companies as an engineer working on Navy contracts, shifting to the business side after earning a MS in finance. In 2001, Bob retired from the civilian/military contract world and decided to become a professional tax preparer. Bob has volunteered as a financial mentor with the Virginia Cooperative Extension and with the Victory Transitional Housing. In 2005 he joined a Fauquier Habitat group going to Mobile Alabama to help build four homes for families who had lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina. The experience inspired him get more involved with Fauquier Habitat to help those in the community who need a hand up. A Marshall resident, Bob is married with three adult children and four granddaughters. |
| Sheri Thorpe, Sheri Thorpe has more than 25 years of professional experience in accounting and taxation for businesses, non-profits, and individuals. She has provided accounting consulting services to a variety of industries, most recently including healthcare technology, commercial construction, and environmental research. Sheri is a life-long Fauquier County resident with two daughters who have just graducated from college. Sheri currently serves as Vice President of the Piedmont Symphony Orchestrra board and has served as Treasurer for the Partnership for Warrenton Foundation. |

Mark Williams, Owner of the Law Office of Mark B. Williams located in the town of Warrenton, Mark started his career working for the Department of Social Services. He and his wife, Gloria, have been in Fauquier County for more than 20 years and have raised two daughters here. His office specializes in Criminal Law, Family Law and Divorce, Civil Litigation, and Personal Injury. Mark is pleased to join the board and looks forward to utilizing his background to help Fauquier Habitat for Humanity better serve our community. |

Carly Anderson, Kettle Run High School Representative Carly is a junior at Kettle Run High School in Warrenton. She joined Fauquier Habitat For Humanity’s board as a junior board member in 2009. A regular attendees of Fauquier Habitat build days and other community events, Carly values her experience on the board because it shows her firsthand how a young adult can make a difference in her community by helping improve the lives of others. Carly plans to maintain her junior board member position through her senior year at Kettle Run. |

Brenda Drerenberger, Executive Director Brenda brings a strong background in construction and business management to Fauquier Habitat for Humanity. She joined the organization in 2010 after spending 11 years working alongside her husband overseeing the day-to-day operations of their family commercial electrical contracting firm, Trisons Electrical Contractors. She was responsible for all administration including contracts, accounting, office management, and human resources for up to 40 employees. She also assisted in the project management of electrical construction work. Prior to joining her family firm, she served as a marketing graphics manager and then as the director of corporate operations for companies in the telecom industry. Brenda and her husband have lived in Fauquier County for 24 years and have raised three sons. Beyond serving as Fauquier Habitat’s lone full-time staff member, her community involvement has included volunteer work for a variety of local organizations, including the Partnership for Warrenton, the Optimist Basketball League, Fauquier Babe Ruth and St. John’s Catholic Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher’s assistant for several years. |
