Fauquier Habitat for Humanity is governed by a Board of Directors, which includes an executive committee. Each board member serves a three-year term, and can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. Day-to-day management is done by the staff, which includes the executive director, the resource development manager and the construction manager.


Kim Forsten, President 2016 Kim has owned and operated Old Town Athletic Club since 1996. She also owns and operates Parisi Speed School, Warrenton Pilates and Warrenton Yoga. Kim previously served on the Fauquier Hospital Board from 2003 through 2008. She and her husband, Mike, are also actively involved with the Fauquier Boys and Girls Club. Kim believes strongly in the philosophy of Habitat, and looks forward to leading the board for a second term as they set goals for the next phase of Fauquier Habitat for Humanity.

Dana Pappas, Treasurer, Chair Finance/Administration Committee A native Bostonian, Dana, wife Marisa and their two sons have lived in Warrenton since 1997. Dana is the Chief Operating Officer of Plow & Hearth, LLC, a national retail/catalog company based on Madison, VA. Prior to joining Plow & Hearth, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Faith Mountain which was formerly located in Sperryville. No stranger to Non-Profits, while in Massachusetts, Dana served on the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry and is now the Treasurer for NEMOA, a catalog industry association. He has a BS in Accountancy from Bentley University and received his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Babson College.
Michelle Hale, Secretary Michelle is a realtor with 10 solid years of real estate sales experience in residential, land and commercial sales and rentals. She was licensed as a Sales Agent in Virginia in June 2002 and then as an Associate Broker in April 2011. Michelle has relocated 25 times in her life time and understands the stressful and emotional process involved for all members of the household, including the four-legged ones. She has been a resident of Northern Virginia since 1983 and has watched it develop and expand. Michelle studied interior design and architecture in college and puts her education to great use with her real estate career. She has also been a general contractor for two upscale residences. Prior to joining the real estate industry, Michelle worked in information technology. Michelle has been married since 1992 and has two lovely and talented daughters.
Ronald J. Aiani, P.C. Ron is a local lawyer with his own law firm in Warrenton since 1997. He received an Electrical Engineering degree in 1979, and went on to receive an MSEE in 1984 and a Juris Doctor in 1990 at George Mason University. He completed work in Tax Law at New York University’s School of Law in 1992. Ron is a member of the VA Stat Bar Association, is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office and the US Bankruptcy Court in both the Eastern and Western District of Virginia. Ron has been married to Betsy since 1981 and has three children and one granddaughter. He is joined in his firm by his daughter Lynn, who is an attorney, and his wife who oversees the day-to-day operations of the law firm. You will find his family as part of a strong team at the Women’s Build Trivia Nite.
Bob Anderson Bob is an active Structural Engineer and Home Developer. Bob started his career with the US Navy as an aircraft mechanic. Afterwards he received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland. He worked for Engineering firms for 10 years before becoming a home builder and currently is working as a consultant and provides engineering services. He assists on the Building Committee and has been instrumental on our new building and repair work since joining our board of directors. Bob brings a wealth of knowledge to our building program and looks forward to making a difference in the community through his time with Fauquier Habitat for Humanity.
Craig Andrews Craig has been a long time member of our affiliate working as a building volunteer, ReStore volunteer and on the Family Selection Committee. Craig served two terms on the Board previously and has joined the board again. Formerly the Chair of the Family Selection Committee, Craig continues to serve and guide this committee as they qualify families to participate in the Habitat Affordable Housing Program. Craig is an active member of the Lions Club and Warrenton United Methodist Church.
Krista Coyner Krista has lived in Virginia since 1980. Shortly after moving here she met her wonderful husband Doug. They became members of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in 1989. Krista work with Kim Forsten at Old Town Athletic club, from 1996 until 2013 when she retired to care for her mother and grandson. It was through their church involvement that Krista starting helping with Fauquier Habitat for Humanity in 1994. In 2005 she participated in the first Women Build home. The experience had such an impact, that in 2008 she became the Co-chair of the Women Build committee and held the position until 2013. Krista continues to be involved with Women Build and provides other support to the affiliate.
Pastor Terri Church Pastor Terri Church serves with Pastor Michael Church and many staff and volunteers at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Warrenton. Her history includes service with homeless ministries in San Antonio, TX, and New York, NY, followed by 19 years of pastoral ministry in and around New York, NY, and in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She started volunteering with Habitat in 1986 as a college student and helped charter the first college chapter of Habitat at Baylor University in Waco, TX. She’s thrilled to be able to serve the Fauquier community through her church and Habitat and hopes to connect other religious leaders in the community with Fauquier Habitat.
Bonnie Foster, DDS Dr. Foster was raised in a military family and grew up across the United States and in Cuba. She began her dental career as a dental assistant, followed by a successful career as a registered dental hygienist for 18 years. Dr. Foster returned to school and earned her dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia. She is very keen to stay informed on the latest developments in dentistry and has attended post-graduate programs at the University of Minnesota and New York University, in addition to training courses in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. Drawing upon her unique dental career, Dr. Foster has lectured at conferences domestically and internationally. She provides pro-bono services through the Virginia Dental Association and has traveled overseas with the International Dental Implant Association Missionary Trip program.
Raymond C. Knott Ray currently serves as a Senior Vice President and Market Executive for Union First Market Bank, and is based in Warrenton, VA. Ray has worked in the banking industry for more than 23 years, of which 17 years have been spent in Fauquier County. Ray’s education includes a B.S. B.A. – Finance from Longwood University. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Virginia Banker’s Association School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia, and a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Ray is also a member of The Risk Management Association. He currently serves on the Board of the Fauquier Health Foundation, and on its Finance Committee. Additionally, Ray serves on the Advisory Board of Fauquier Medical Center LLC (d/b/a Fauquier Hospital), Advisory Board of the George Mason Enterprise Center in Warrenton, and the Leadership Council of the Fauquier Chapter of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association.
Tom Bartkiewicz Tom received his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University but upon graduation fell in love with systems and software engineering.  He is president of Sand Dollar Software, Inc., a small software development company that he and his wife Donna founded in 1989.  Tom is active at his church, Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Warrenton, where he has served as Financial Secretary and Council President.  Among his current activities, he is one of the leaders for the Senior High Youth Group and is the leader of the senior adult ECHO Ministry.  Since 2009, Tom has been involved with the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace program, leading Financial Peace in his congregation, helping other congregations get started, and as a trained financial counselor, providing one-on-one help for families in need.
Aron Newby Aron is a professional home builder and the owner of Green Development LLC, a Warrenton-based contracting firm. He brings a broad knowledge of building and development to the organization gained through a lifetime of unique experience. He received his formal training in construction engineering from the US Air Force and spent his early years in mining and land development in Alaska. Aron relocated his family and his business to Fauquier County in 2000. He has served on our Building Committee for many years and looks forward to helping to chart the future for our affiliate by serving on the Board.
Faye Walker Faye is a Habitat homeowner and has been involved with the organization for ten years. She is a single mother with three grown three children and a grandmother of two. She is an administrative employee of Walmart and has worked there for many years. Faye has always been a strong ambassador of our organization and looks forward to representing homeowners on the board.
Steve Crosby Steve is from Staunton, Virginia, and receive his Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and his MBA from James Madison University. He served 30 years in local government including as county administrator for Fauquier and Stafford counties. Steve is a former member of the Fauquier Jaycees and the Warrenton Rotary Club and a former member of the Fauquier Food Bank. He has lived in Fauquier County since 1978.
Adam Beroza Adam grew up in Rappahannock County and graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors of Science from the prestigious McIntire School of Commerce. Adam joined Cheri Woodard Realty as Vice President Sales & Marketing in 2012. Prior to that, he spent 18 years leading business development and marketing efforts for top internet retailers, Crutchfield and 1800Flowers.com, among others. Adam is currently Vice President for the Businesses of Rappahannock, which aims to develop tourism and foster a business community in Rappahannock County. In his spare time, Adam enjoys walking on the family farm with his two dogs, Coco & Jack, biking and photography. Adam is also an amateur chef and an unabashed enthusiast of the slow food movement (and all of the bounty available in Rappahannock County).




 paul_007 Paul Linz, Executive Director  Paul holds a B.S. in Accounting from Cal-State Los Angeles and an M.B.A from Auburn University. He joined Xerox Corporation in 1983 where he held a wide variety of management assignments in Finance, Strategy & Planning, Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Product Development during his 30 year tenure.  Paul also has extensive non-profit experience having served as CFO and VP of Operations of Educational Services International, accountant and financial advisor to Natik Esperanza and project manager for Innovations for Poverty Action.

Paul was a member of the Board of Directors of San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity from October 2008 through May 2014, including two years as Treasurer and one year as Vice President.  In 2011 Xerox granted Paul a year of social service leave where he served as the project manager for a five unit townhome development in Glendale, CA.


Tony Toth, Construction Manager Tony comes to us with more than 25 years of home building experience with 100 homes built in both Fauquier and Prince William counties as a Class A contractor. Tony is also a licensed real estate appraiser, a VA-certified home inspector and a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. He is married to the chair of our Family Selection committee, Edda Berglund, and is very aware of Habitat’s philosophy of giving a hand up, not a hand out. Tony is also well aware of the need for affordable housing here in Fauquier county and is planning our future building projects.
Rebecca Frye, Resource Development Manager Rebecca has worked for national nonprofits for more than 20 years and has particular strengths in communications, social media, resource management and disaster response. She volunteers with local animal rescue groups, is an avid traveler and hiker, and plans to build her own tiny home someday.
